Beautiful small glass jar or vase produced by Vedar Vetri d'Arte around the 1930s. This company was founded at the end of the 19th century by Luigi Fontana who made various glass works and hand-painted decorations. At the beginning of the 1930s Gio Ponti collaborated with Luigi Fontana, therefore the decoration of this jar could be attributed to Gio Ponti due to its unmistakable style. On the market there are different vases with very similar decorations such as the flower baskets, the ribbon and other small details as well as the silhouette of the woman that are signed by Gio Ponti.
Without a doubt a beautiful collector's item.
It has slight chips on the upper mouth (indicated in the photographs with yellow circles). Otherwise good vintage condition. Paint wear consistent with its age.
It does not have a cap. Item as shown in the photographs.
Signed on one side 'Vedar'.
