Beautiful and rare Austrian Art Nouveau sculptural lamp made of solid bronze attributed to Peter Tereszczuk and around the Jugendstil period ca.1900.
The lamp is decorated in a rural style with a peasant on horseback and decorated with a mushroom-shaped light shade. The entire lamp is made of a single piece in patinated bronze.
The cable is not the original but is also old as is the small E14 screw lamp holder. The white switch is also old but probably not the original.
On the back it is marked with 'AUSTRIA' and what looks like a stamp (both marks a little blurry and the stamp could correspond to Peter Tereszczuk's). It also has a mark with a 'K'.
The lamp is 100% operational and in excellent condition. The bottom is covered with an old canvas.
