Jarrón o pie de lámpara por LOETZ - Johann LÖTZ WITWE Viena ca. 1900

Amazing piece of Loetz crystal. Originally it was the base of a lamp but is currently enjoyed as a vase. As you can see in the photographs, the bottom has the original factory hole where the lamp's electrical wiring entered. As you can see, the hole is now filled with a soft paste and painted the same colour as the vase to hide the hole and enjoy it as a beautiful vase. This soft paste can be easily removed and leave the original hole or take advantage of it to mount the electrical system and lampshade.

On the top it has a beautiful bronze decoration embedded with beautiful floral shapes from the Jugendstil period and where the lamp holder was originally located.

The piece is made of thick glass with typical Loetz iridescence and decorated with the patented design of the 'thread' technique. A piece of very high quality and presence.

This magnificent piece offers the possibility of being used as a decorative vase or with a little work it can be adapted again as a lamp. This is up to the final customer.

The vase is in excellent condition. See photos with details. No chips.

Signed on the hole 'Loetz AUSTRIA'.
